The Religious Education (RE) Committee administers and oversees all aspects of religious education
for the Fellowship. That includes selecting curricula and planning special RE events; facilitating and
overseeing Fellowship involvement including recruitment and training of teachers and communication
with parents; development and management of RE budget; overseeing classes and other special RE
programs; long-term planning regarding such issues as RE goals, classroom space, and
extracurricular programs.

Long term and brief programs designed to provide educational opportunities for adult members of the
congregation. This subcommittee works closely with the minister to plan programs and activities which
will address the needs of a wide UU and those whose association is long-term; those seeking
knowledge about our denomination, about other religions and philosophies, and those wishing to learn
more about field of interest outside what is usually thought of as "religious" education.

balance between female and male energies. Respects all creation as offspring of the divine.
Great Books Group
Mindfulness Meditation Group

A reading discussion group. They gather twice monthly to read and discuss a selection (1/3 are
complete works) from the great books of western civilization. Discussion leaders are self-chosen. For
non-complete works, the Great Books editors choose passages that summarize the main points of the
book. The editors tell what passages they will be using from the original text.
For anyone interested in meditation and dharma practice. The group also offers meditation instruction.
The path of the Dharma is offered at the Fellowship each Thursday evening. Whether you are a novice
sangha follow the Vipassana (Insight) tradition. Of course, we are open to all forms of practice. Come
walking meditation practices. On the even Thursdays of the month, our practice is one of Mindful
Listening. On these evenings, a spiritual topic is addressed with an emphasis on opening ourselves to
others through mindful, nonjudgmental listening.
