The Fellowship needs strong finances if it is to be healthy. Therefore, it is the responsibility of this
Committee to assist in the development of a yearly budget, invest our income and generate new
income. The Finance Committee reviews and recommends investment strategies, coordinates the
activities; reviews rental rates for use of the building; assists the Treasurer in updating equipment and
reports; and develops methods for bequests.

35 UU volunteers in four teams work Friday night bingo two out of every three weeks.  Each team works
about 4 ½ hours when their turn comes up.  Bingo raises about $40,000 annually for the New Building
Fund.

Responsible for making, receiving, and evaluating ideas for fundraising events and activities and for
proposing the best ones to the Board for its approval. The subcommittee finds individuals to conduct the
fundraisers (preferably before proposing them to the Board) and makes sure that there are no conflicts
with other committees or the minister in terms of other fundraising activities.

Plans and conducts the annual pledge drive, the goal of which is to meet the annual budget's financial
goal for member pledges. Recruits people to help with the canvass; develops brochures, charts, pledge
cards, etc; and works with the minister in planning pledging related activities.
